Duffy Down Under is celebrating some strong leads and plenty of rental enquiry following this year’s Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

With excellent exposure on Seven’s 'The Great South East' program in the lead up to the event, the flagship Duffy 22 Cuddy Cabin on display on the marina and two boats used by the VMR as VIP taxis to the show, Duffy Down Under received positive feedback and 'a massive number of leads'.

Owners are working on four prospects for purchase and all the enquiries on day rentals of the quiet, economical and as many women described them 'pretty river boats'.

The Duffy 22 Cuddy Cabin was formally introduced to the Australian market for the first time at SCIBS.

This spacious model is the flagship of the Duffy fleet, which offers unrivalled elegance, performance and innovation. The 22 Cuddy is equipped with the Patented Power Rudder, for unparalleled maneuverability, turning within its own length. You will not find more space, charm or performance capability in any other electric boat in the world.

Duffy Boats are dominant in harbours, lakes, and protected areas around the globe. Clean and quiet this model can hold up to 12 adults making it ideal for family outings, romantic cruises, entertaining or just exploring the wonderful Australian waterways.

'Duffy Electric Boats aren’t just boats,' explained Nitsa Kerr, Duffy Down Under GM, 'They are a lifestyle. It’s like having your own limo on the water.'

Each Duffy Electric Boat comes complete with full canopy top, full window enclosures and a CD player with an iPod hookup. The boats cruise an average of 75 kilometres between charges, and the batteries recharge overnight for less than a few dollars AUD.

According to Gordon Kerr, Duffy Down Under chief executive, 'Duffy Electric Boats are ideal because of their zero emissions. They work harmoniously in the Gold Coast Marine Park with its varied fish life, dolphins, turtles and whales. As an added bonus, electric boats are allowed in Gold Coast areas where petrol-powered boats are forbidden.'

He continues: 'In my 40 years in business travelling the world, I can tell you the Australian Gold Coast is perfect for our boats. I firmly believe Duffy Electric Boats and the new Duffy 22 model will be ideal for those waterways,' noted Marshall 'Duffy' Duffield, company founder.
