Simrad Yachting and B&G, world leaders in navigation solutions for sailing vessels, are pleased to announce that they have entered into a sponsorship agreement with the prestigious Shanghai Sailing Club.
Effective immediately, the sponsorship deal will see the Shanghai Sailing Club provided with the latest technology in Simrad and B&G sailing equipment that will be used by new members learning to sail on the club yachts and also in a dedicated training facility within the club itself.
With the popularity of sailing on the rise in China, the deal will allow both the Simrad and B&G brands to align themselves with a highly regarded sailing club with a growing member community and raise their profile within the Chinese market.
Doug Anderson, Director of Sales & Marketing for Navico Asia Pacific, the parent company to Simrad and B&G brands, said 'We are very pleased to have signed this agreement and look forward to working with the Shanghai Sailing Club. This partnership will allow us to actively promote sailing as an enjoyable recreational and competitive pastime to the Shanghai members and the wider sailing community in China in general'.
Fei Zhao, Chief instructor at the Shanghai Sailing Club said, 'We are delighted to welcome Simrad and B&G as official partners of the Shanghai Sailing Club. Our club has grown exponentially over the last few years and the investment and support provided by our sponsors helps us to reach out and get more people interested in sailing within China. '
Available on the club yachts will be Simrad NSS7 Multifunction Displays, B&G Triton Wind/Speed/Depth Instruments Pack and Simrad TP10 Tillerpilots.
On display in the club classroom will be a B&G Zeus 8 Multifunction Display, a B&G Triton Instrument Display, a Simrad NSS8 Multifunction Display and a Simrad 3G™ Broadband Radar.
All the equipment supplied by Simrad and B&G will be installed by Shanghai Join-Sailing.
