Rivergate International Boat Show delivers another first

In what is believed to be a world first, a boat show auction will be held at the Rivergate International Boat Show on Sunday October 7 in Murrarie, Brisbane. Rivergate International Boat Show general manager Narelle Jensen revealed further details about the new addition to the show, saying there would be many benefits for all participants. 'The auction will be an exciting climax to the three day boat show and will also provide great exposure for all exhibitors,' Ms Jensen said. The auction is part of what promises to be Brisbane’s best on-water boat show. Marine Auctions principal Adrian Seiffert, who will be conducting the auction, said a number of new and used boats are set to go under the hammer unreserved. 'The unreserved auctions are a boon for both new and seasoned boaters seeking that elusive bargain and to snap up a slice of boating heaven,' Mr Seiffert said. 'We are also offering the opportunity for people to bid online, allowing bidders anywhere in the world to take part in this world first boat show auction,' he said. Ms Jensen believes the auction will attract a large crowd on the final day of the show. 'Typically the last day of a boat show is the quietest, but we expect the opposite to be the case at Rivergate,' Ms Jensen said. 'Our dealers and exhibitors will be given an exceptional opportunity to build their client contact bases.' Rivergate International Boat Show is expected to attract more than 20,000 visitors over three spectacular Queensland spring days, showcasing the best that life on the water has to offer – from marine accessories, jet skis, power and sail boats to luxury cruisers, superyachts, fashion and fabulous food.
