Ce vendredi, au Nautic, les visiteurs ont pu faire la rencontre de Sam Davies et de Liz Wardley à l'occasion de la conférence SCA, l'unique équipage 100% féminin engagé dans l'édition 2014-2015 de la Volvo Ocean Race. Mais ce que l'on retiendra aussi et surtout de cette journée, ce sont les remises des Prix du Livre Maritime et du Nautic Motorboat Design Award en présence de jurés prestigieux tels que Didier Decoin ou Odile Decq.

Ce vendredi sur la scène du Nautic, Marc Sanchez, Président de SCA en France (marque regroupant Demak'Up, Lotus, Nana, Okay, TENA ou Tork), a présenté aux visiteurs du Nautic ainsi qu'à 230 collaborateurs de son groupe présents pour l'occasion le team 100% féminin SCA engagé dans la prochaine édition de la Volvo Ocean Race, course dont le départ sera donné en octobre 2014 d'Alicante. Entouré de Sam Davies et de Liz Wardley, deux des sept femmes qui composent d'ores et déjà l'équipe, il a indiqué que la première participation du groupe Suédois fondé en 1929 à l'ex Whitbread relève d'un triple objectif : fédérer les collaborateurs partout dans le monde autour d'un grand projet commun auquel les salariés pourront s'identifier, développer la notoriété de l'entreprise et soutenir les femmes dans le rôle croissant qu'elles occupent dans la société. Team SCA, cinquième équipage 100% féminin de l'histoire de la Volvo, s'entraîne au quotidien depuis huit mois à Lanzarote. Ayant pris la mesure de son nouveau bateau VOR65 bien avant ses concurrents, il est en passe de se forger une belle expérience et une avance sur le reste des engagés.

Tous les ans, l'Express et le Nautic associent leurs passions de la mer pour célébrer les plus beaux livres maritime. Ce rendez-vous, dont la vocation est de mettre à l'honneur le travail remarquable et sans cesse renouvelé des éditeurs de beaux livres, met l'art et la culture au cœur du salon. En cette année 2013, l'ouvrage qui s'est particulièrement distingué par son sujet, son iconographie, sa gravure, sa maquette, son papier et son édition est « Les Pêcheurs des extrêmes » de Marcel Mochet aux éditions du Rocher. Ce très beau livre témoigne de deux fortes réalités : le travail sur les bateaux de grande pêche et la fin de cette culture maritime en France. Son auteur est l'un des rares journalistes à avoir pu vivre le quotidien de la grande pêche dans les mers australes, au large des Kerguelen, comme dans les hautes latitudes de l'Atlantique nord. Il a reçu son prix des mains du Président du jury et de l'association des écrivains de marine, Didier Decoin, écrivain et scénariste, prix Goncourt (Dont il est le secrétaire général) et prix spécial du jury au Festival de Cannes.

Lancé par le Nautic cette année pour encourager le travail des chantiers en matière de design sur les bateaux à moteurs de grande diffusion, le Nautic Motor Boat Design Award a été remis ce vendredi soir au Salon Nautique International de Paris. Ouvert à tous les bateaux à moteur lancés après septembre 2012 de toutes catégories et de tout prix confondus - la présélection comprenait toutes les formes de pratique du motonautisme en Europe, à savoir, des vedettes, des opens, des trawlers, des semi-rigides ou encore des pêches promenades – ce prix a récompensé à la fois la silhouette extérieure, l'originalité et l'esthétique, l'ergonomie, le choix des matériaux (déco, sellerie…). Les cinq bateaux finalistes exposés dans le Pavillon 4, ont été soumis au vote du public mais également à celui d'un jury de professionnels présidé par Odile Decq, figure emblématique de l'architecture avant-gardiste française. Architecte du Musée d'Art contemporain de Rome, du restaurant du Palais de l'Opéra à Paris, du FRAC de Bretagne, designer de l'ATOM exposé à la FIAC 2012, Odile Decq a aussi signé l'un des plus spectaculaires voiliers jamais réalisé, le Wally de 45 mètres Esense, et a créé le trophée exclusif de ce Nautic Motor Boat Design Award. A ses côtés dans ce jury exceptionnel, les designers Philippe Starck, monument du design et passionné de bateaux, dont il est l'un des plus créatifs concepteur, et Cédric Ragot, porte-drapeau d'une nouvelle génération de designers.

On y retrouve encore deux autres femmes, Nathalie Bigaignon, secrétaire générale de la FIN, Stéphanie de Loustal, rédactrice en chef de Motor Boat, et quatre journalistes venus des quatre coins de l'Europe comme Michel Luizet, rédacteur en chef du magazine Neptune, Ole Enrik Nissen-Lie, du magazine norvégien Batliv, Tessa Heerschop de Nautica (NL), PierFrancesco Pugno de Barche a Motore (IT), Guillaume Drelon de Jeep et enfin Alain Pichavant, commissaire général du Nautic. Le bateau qui remporte le spectaculaire trophée signé par Odile Decq est le Jeanneau NewConcept 14, avec près de 45% des voix.

Course transatlantique à l'aviron reliant le Sénégal à la Guyane et disputé en solitaire, sans escale ni assistance, par une trentaine de rameur à bord de canots monotypes de huit mètres de long, la Rame Guyane a été présentée ce vendredi au Nautic en présence de Florent Malouda, le parrain de l'épreuve. Le coup d'envoi de l'édition 2014 sera donc donné le week-end du 18 octobre prochain au large de Saint-Louis et prendra fin au terme de 4 700 km (soit 40 à 60 jours) devant les « îles du Salut ».

Les sexistes diront que la plaisance se féminise pour la paix des ménages, mais les réalistes admettront que l'univers nautique tire aujourd'hui un grand bénéfice de cette évolution naturelle. Une touche de féminité de plus en plus remarquable tant en compétition (Tour de France, Volvo Ocean Race, etc.), que dans la conception des croiseurs avec un résultat radical : des unités plus accueillantes, plus lumineuses, plus sécurisantes. Le jury du Nautic Motor Boat Design Award, remis ce jour, est par exemple animé par trois femmes dont sa présidente Odile Decq, designer de l'année.

Les équipementiers ont naturellement suivi cette évolution intégrant très tôt dans leur catalogue des lignes de vêtements spécifiquement conçues pour les navigatrices.

Henri Lloyd, fournisseur officiel des Princesses de Bretagne — l'équipage féminin de Match Race courant sous les couleurs de Prince de Bretagne — propose une nouvelle veste ultra légère associée à sa salopette pour femme équipé d'une double fermeture zippé. L'Élite, c'est son nom, adopte la membrane Gore-Tex Micro-Grid 30 % plus légère que les membranes classiques pour concevoir une veste de haute mer qui satisfera les plaisancières assidues.

Chez Musto, les plus exigeantes retrouveront une ligne de vêtements et d'accessoires ultra techniques adaptés à tous les types de navigations à la voile (côtière, hauturière, racing) ou motonautique. Plus techno que féminin, l'un n'exclut pas l'autre, l'équipementier britannique dévoile sur ce salon un nouveau sac à dos ingénieux intégrant un chargeur solaire pour tablette numérique.

Alors que Marine Pool, continue d'étoffer son catalogue avec une large collection sportwear colorée et dynamique adaptée à la vie en mer et sur les pontons, Dubarry sort une nouvelle chaussure de pont haut de gamme, l'Auckland. Équivalent féminin de la très reconnue Regatta, cette chaussure au style classique – cuir couleur rouille et laçage trois oeillets – se dote d'une semelle redoutable qu'aucun pont détrempé ne saura prendre en défaut.

Chez Gill, les navigatrices seront reconnaître dans la CR11 W (W pour Women) une veste côtière hautement qualitative dont la doublure en filet brossé est pensée pour être portée à même la peau... un accessoire très vite indispensable lorsqu'il s'agit par exemple de naviguer de crique en crique à bord d'une semi-rigide. Plus adaptée à la navigation en intersaison, l'Electra de Cotten, chaudement doublé, réserve aux plaisancières une coupe cintrée et bicolore. Enfin, soulignons l'arrivée dans l'univers nautique du géant Adidas, qui s'intègre dans ce marché avec un catalogue de produits Racing décliné aussi bien pour l'homme que pour la femme.

A l'image du magnifique défilé organisé samedi dernier par 727 Sailbags, encore une entreprise créée par une femme, Anna Beyou, le Nautic se conjugue décidemment au féminin.
