Tradition et modernité, sciences et imaginaire ont joué sur des registres complémentaires ce samedi au Nautic. À l'honneur, la Société des Régates Rochelaises élue Top Club 2013 et la Mini Transat, réelle et virtuelle. Car outre Benoît Marie et Aymeric Belloir, les deux vainqueurs de l'épreuve fraîchement débarqués de Pointe-à-Pitre, les gagnants de la course virtuelle étaient également présents aujourd'hui au salon, tout comme ceux des grandes courses de l'année telles que le Vendée Globe ou la Transat Jacques Vabre. Pour le plus grand bonheur des visiteurs qui ont également pu faire le plein d'énergie sur la scène des nouveautés de l'accastillage, des applications, des sondeurs…

Un jury composé d'élus et de partenaires de la Fédération Française de Voile, présidé par Antoine Albeau, a élu Top Club de l'année 2013 parmi six clubs nominés : le Yacht Club Carnac, La Société des Régates du Havre, La Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez, Le Yacht Club de Granville, L'APCC Voile Sportive Nantes et La Société des Régates Rochelaises. C'est cette dernière qui a été sacrée à l'issue de la traditionnelle cérémonie qui s'est déroulée ce samedi 14 décembre sur la grande Scène Nautic pour la troisième année consécutive. De fait, elle a connu une année exceptionnelle avec, notamment, l'organisation de très grandes épreuves internationales : les Championnats du Monde Jeunes et Senior de 470 pour les 50 ans de la série, le Master Finn et, pour la première fois, la Semaine Olympique Française. Et les chiffres de la SRR parlent d'eux-mêmes : 667 membres, 350 coureurs habitable, 200 coureurs voile légère, 200 bénévoles, 33 arbitres nationaux, régionaux et clubs, 55 régates s'étalant sur 117 jours de compétitions en 2013, 8 grands événements nationaux et internationaux, 6 épreuves corporatives, 13 épreuves voile légère, 23 épreuves habitable et 5 épreuves Match Racing. Elle succède donc logiquement au SNO de Nantes, représentée ce matin par Serge Raphalen, Président de la ligue Pays de la Loire. Au total, 106 clubs ont été récompensés pour leur investissement dans différents domaines, comme l'apprentissage, le développement sportif, la compétition, le loisir, la sécurité et la vie fédérale.

Cet après-midi à 16 heures, Douarnenez Courses et le comité d'organisation de la Mini Transat 2013 ont proposé aux visiteurs du Nautic une rétrospective sur la Mini Transat 2013 autour d'une table ronde en présence des vainqueurs des deux catégories, Benoit Marie en Proto et Aymeric Belloir en Série. De nombreux autres Ministes, fraîchement débarqués de Point-à-Pitre, étaient également présents. L'Italien Giancarlo Pedote, 2e au scratch, a notamment été aperçu.

Présent pour la cinquième année consécutive sur le Nautic, Virtual Regatta a donné le départ de la « Nautic Transat » le vendredi 6 décembre dernier à 19h30, lors de la soirée d'inauguration du salon. Plus de 30 000 joueurs se sont ainsi élancés pour un grand sprint entre Newport et Lorient, à la barre d'un Maxi trimaran et dans des conditions météo bien réelles. Arrivé mercredi dernier après 4 jours 21 heures 35 minutes et 02 secondes de mer virtuels, Patrick Babin dit « Megajactpn » a remporté l'épreuve, devançant d'un peu moins de 8 minutes Jeff Simoneau dit « Turbo » et de presque 10 minutes Paula Ferron au joli pseudo de « Saskiadesvaguesn TPN ». Le podium a été célébré ce vendredi à 17 heures, sur la Scène Nautic en présence virtuelle de Loïck Peyron, invité d'honneur, mais également de l'ensemble des vainqueurs virtuels et réels des grandes courses Virtual Regatta de l'année 2013 : le Vendée Globe, la Transat Jacques Vabre et la Mini Transat.

Si 30 000 régatiers se sont affrontés sur la Nautic Transat de Virtual Regatta par écrans interposés, des dizaines de milliers de plaisanciers sont aujourd'hui passés au tout numérique à bord de leur bateau réel!

Navigation. Tous les grands acteurs de la navigation électronique présentent leurs dernières innovations au Nautic. Time Zero, l'application star de MaxSea, se retrouve sur tablette Ipad, et Adrena, qui fête ses 10 ans, innove avec des prévisions météo mondiales gratuites, des polaires de vitesse rapidement étalonnées et surtout la possibilité d'afficher les données sur IPhone et Ipad, décidemment incontournables comme lecteurs universels à bord. Par exemple pour l'application Donia, récompensée par le prix du Bateau Bleu de la FIN et qui permet de repérer les champs de posidonie dans lesquelles il faut éviter de jeter l'ancre…

Chez Lowrance, les familles HDS rassemblent sous le même boîtier une cartographie désormais compatible CMap, Navionics et Genesis, avec des images sous-marines Structure Scan dignes d'une vidéo. Chez Humminbird, l'autre spécialiste de ces machines à tout faire, on découvre de nouveaux écrans tactiles multi touch Onix et Ion, ainsi que les nouveaux combinés proposant la technologie Down-Imaging, véritable vision 3D du fonds en temps réel.

Les nouveautés aux rayons des accessoires et de l'accastillage s'adressent à toutes les pratiques. Au rythme tranquille d'une croisière en famille avec un produit tel que la gaffe HandyDuck qui simplifie à l'extrême les manœuvres de ports et les prises de coffre tant à l'amarrage qu'à l'appareillage grâce à un largage sous charge bien plus simple que sur les modèles déjà présent sur le marché.

Aux exigences esthétiques d'un capitaine perfectionniste avec la manille textile Softlink développée par Wichard qui associe avec intelligence inox et Dyneema SK75, une fibre quasi indestructible. Ce produit d'une étonnante simplicité permet de diffuser auprès d'un public très large la manille textile plébiscitée depuis de nombreuses années par la course au large en raison de son faible coût et de sa haute résistance. Associée aux anneaux à frictions Wichard ou Antal, elle permet à elle seule d'imaginer un plan de pont d'une simplicité et d'une esthétique contemporaine sans nécessiter pour autant des connaissances poussées dans l'art du matelotage.

Enfin, à la rigueur du régatier avec la gamme enrichie des poulies Carbo de Harken, pensée pour parfaire les réglages fins des unités de régate ou de course-croisière. Des poulies à billes optant en guise d'accroche pour le transfilage. Une technologie légère assurant un maximum de légèreté et de sécurité y compris dans le cas – rarissime – où la poulie soumise à une charge de travail excessive « exploserait » en pleine mer. Chez Sélden, on découvre une nouvelle génération d'enrouleurs plus légers et à l'ancrage plus bas. 50 ans après la première victoire d'Eric Tabarly, la plaisance poursuit sur l'élan donné à cet inventeur de génie, optimisant et innovant chaque année!
