Marine Auctions - a boat for everybody!

'boats under the hammer at Marine Auctions event'    Marine Auctions
Marine Auctions will hold its next auction at Rivergate Marina, Murarrie, Brisbane on Saturday 26 April.

Stewart Cox, sales manager, says that boats in the auction are all top quality and there’s something for everybody.

'There’s such a diverse range of boats, from the larger end to trailerable. We have a 32ft Proline, 26ft Blackwatch flybridge, and 33ft Riviera, all good family boats and in good condition.'

Among the other standouts are the Elan 43 and Roberts 44 ketch, a steel cruising boat, 26ft Backcove and for something different, a 33ft Simpson cat. 'It’s a lovely wooden boat, an ‘89 model and in good condition. This is less than half of the stock we have going to auction on Saturday. There’s a real cross section. Different boats for different people.'

Buyers are able to get surveys on the boats their interested in and haul them out if they so wish prior to bidding. 'You have to do your due diligence prior to bidding,' says Cox.

The first step is getting in touch with Marine Auctions. 'People can look online or get in touch and I can send out all the specs and photos. Once they’re registered, people can bid by phone or attend in person. With this beautiful Queensland April sunshine, it would make a great day out!'

Marine Auctions will then host its Sanctuary Cove Boat Show auction on Sunday 25, coinciding with the final day of SCIBS, to be held at Runaway Bay. 'Three of the boats will be on display at Sanctuary Cove, including a 65ft sailing Leopard 62 catamaran, a $2.6m vessel, and a Horizon 70 which is a really beautiful boat. On Sunday morning, we will take them around to Runaway Bay and they’ll be auctioned off with approximately 60 other boats there.'
