Amsterdam RAI, organiser of the ICOMIA World Marinas Conference, has announced the speaker line-up for this major event in Istanbul.

From 2 to 4 June, over 40 world-class experts will present their views and inspire the delegates. Speakers include Gary Groenewold (Westrec Marinas), Matthew Bate (Dogus Marinas Group) and Julian Goldie (The Yacht Harbour Association). The conference will be an exceptional learning experience for professionals in the marina and nautical tourism fields. A global audience of specialists will come together in the unique environment of Istanbul to exchange knowledge and learn from each other’s best practice.

Istanbul as the connecting link between east and west
'The ICOMIA Marinas Group has held events across Europe, the US, Australia and Asia,' comments chairman Roberto Perocchio. 'Now, for the first time, the renowned ICOMIA World Marinas Conference is going to be held in the eastern Mediterranean. As the connecting link between east and west, Istanbul has a rare advantage in the global marinas industry. The conference promises to be the best to date since our first edition in 1993.'

Marinas into the future
The theme for the eighth edition of this renowned conference will be ‘Marinas into the future’. In addition to the exciting and wide-ranging line-up of speakers, the event will be a must-attend platform for marina processionals who value the latest marina product developments and innovations. And the Istanbul location will offer an ideal opportunity for people to network with their fellow marina professionals.

Learn about and discuss marina management and operational practices
Another reason why the ICOMIA WMC 2014 is sure to be a success is the organisational experience of Amsterdam RAI and the expertise of the host, Turkish marine industry association DENTUR. The main topics will be the state of the global marina industry, and the emerging markets of the Eastern Med, Black Sea, Middle East, Asia and South America. Breakout sessions will provide delegates with the opportunity to learn about and discuss marina management and operational practices, revenue maximisation concepts and the benefits of marina classification.

The scenic city of Istanbul
Delegates are being encouraged to enjoy visiting the scenic city of Istanbul, with a Bosphorus Wining & Dining Cruise being included in the conference fee of 680 euros (510 for ICOMIA members) if booked before the end of February. There will also be inspiring marina tours and an entertaining partner & family programme. With the conference being held in the five-star Swissôtel Bosphorus, the ICOMIA WMC 2014 is sure to live long in the memory.

The ICOMIA World Marinas Conference will be held from 2 to 4 June in Swissotel The Bosphorus in Istanbul. A significant discount advantage rate has been realized for all WMC delegates in this five star luxurious hotel which overlooks the Bosphorus River. Booking can be made easily via the delegate registration form online.
