Great prizes the lure of Leisurefest Melbourne
|
Visitors to Melbourne Leisurefest from 30 September to 3 October will have a chance to win a Hobie kayak and other great prizes in the passport competition at the show, plus $4,000 worth of free fuel. The Hobie Pro Angler Kayak, courtesy of Westvic Kayaks & Kampers, is valued at $4,000 complete with a fish finder package, two Ram Rod Holders and a Hobie Trax 2 plug-in cart. Designed to maximize access to remote angling spots, the Pro Angler features Hobie MirageDrive™ for noiseless, pedal-powered performance. Second prize is an Anaconda Spinifex Franklin Family Tent courtesy of Anaconda, with three large rooms to sleep nine in comfort. Third prize is a Dune Outback Swag, also courtesy of Anaconda, which is 210cm long and comes with three fibreglass coated poles that will withstand any outdoor environment yet weighs just 8 kg. To win these great prizes get a passport at the gate, follow the passport map around the show, clip your passport at each nominated stand, then fill in your details and drop it in the entry box. For anyone who’d like a break from rising fuel prices, Leisurefest has $4000 worth of $100 fuel cards to be won, with 10 fuel cards up for grabs each day. Four times each day, the show organisers will announce a randomly selected passport location, and the first 50 people will each receive a ticket in the instant prize draw – and then the first entries drawn out will receive their $100 fuel card right there and then. The main passport prizes will be drawn at 7pm on Sunday 3 October, and the winner will be contacted by phone and published in the Herald Sun. Other attractions include a ride on Sandown’s 4x4 test track, hands-on advice on reversing a van, and test towing caravans and trailerable boats down the Sandown straight with qualified drivers. Best of all, car parking at Sandown is plentiful and free, and there’s a railway station next door. Melbourne Leisurefest, proudly sponsored by Dometic Group, runs from Thursday 30 September to Sunday 3 October at Sandown Racecourse, Springvale, open from 10am to 5pm daily. Developed from the RV & Camping Leisurefest, it is a joint venture by the Caravan Trade & Industries Association of Victoria (CTIAV), Boating Industry Association (BIA) of Victoria and Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce (VACC).
