If you are planning on going away over the Easter period, don't leave your preparations to the last minute, instead plan ahead and pay a visit to the 2014 Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show and National 4x4 & Outdoors Show on this weekend, April 4 to 6 at the Brisbane Showgrounds.
With over 200 exhibitors, hundreds-of-thousands of products across 20,000 square metres, industry experts, product demonstrations, informative talks and show specials, the Brisbane Showgrounds this Friday to Sunday will be the ultimate destination for any off-road, touring, towing, fishing or boating enthusiast.
Sure to draw the crowds, this year's show will be the host of very special guests including ultimate Australian Wildlife Warriors - Terri, Bindi and Robert Irwin as well as Chris 'Brolga' Barnes, Kangaroo Dundee.
In regular shows on the WAECO Outback Stage, these environmental crusaders will share stories and information about their wildlife experiences and conservation efforts whilst answering questions from interested fans.
Hosted by Carlisle Rogers of 4WD Touring Australia, the WAECO Outback Stage will also hold information and meet-and-greet sessions with some of the 4WD and outdoor industry's biggest names, including Pat Callinan, Jase Andrews, Peter 'Spida' Everitt and Allan Gray.
Whilst over at the Tinnie and Tackle Show presented by Club Marine, the Engel Fishing Stage will host some of Queensland's most respected names in recreational fishing including Dave 'Nugget' Downie, Jason Medcalf, Jason Ehrlich and Paul Worsteling from TV's iFish programme to name a few.
Paul Worsteling is the official ambassador for the Tinnie and Tackle Show again and will be appearing on the Engel Fishing Stage right across the three days and also will be conducting how-to-fish sessions at the Kids Marine Zone, where youngsters are able to learn the basics of fishing, including knot tying, rod casting and bait netting.
These interactive displays and features will have a continuous rotation of guest speakers and live demonstrations, covering a wide range of products and fishing techniques.
Plus the Yamaha Supertank and hourly cooking demonstrations from Bart Beek at the Club Marine Cooking Stage will also draw the crowds.
The Tinnie and Tackle Show will host products from entry level tinnies to serious plate aluminium fishing boats, with Australian premieres including the all-new Caravelle Powerboats from the USA, the Procraft Fibreglass range, Stacer 429 Seaway Runabout, 7800 Tournament, Noble Boats and many more.
Marine electronics, fishing and accessories to chandlery and much more will also be showcased, with any fishing and boating enthusiast to be kept busy for hours.
The National 4x4 & Outdoors Show will host some of the best known names in the industry from categories including 4WD vehicles and accessories, ATVs, automotive accessories, safety and recovery gear, GPS and electronics, kayaks, camping equipment, tents and a vast array of camper trailers and off-road caravans.
New exhibitors such as Bear Offroad and products including the new Lightforce Venom driving light, and Hema Maps Navigator HN7 will be unveiled to Australian public for the first time.
For those who have it all but just need a little bling, the National 4x4 & Outdoors Show will host over 100 dedicated 4WD aftermarket exhibitors showcasing their latest products and accessories including ARB, Ironman, Rhino Rack and TJM.
There will be loads of choice for visitors wanting to enter the camper scene or upgrade on an existing model, including award-wining products from Longpoint RV with its Complete Campsite range and Patriot Campers with its Camper Trailer of the Year for 2014.
A range of new four-wheel-drive vehicles will be on display with both Isuzu UTE and Tata Motors exhibiting, with test rides available in the Action Arena presented by Isuzu UTE.
This year's Action Action presented by Isuzu Ute will showcase the skill and stomach churning driving prowess of Team D-MAX and for those visitors game enough, there is an opportunity to register to take a two wheel drive with the team or tackle the world's steepest climb and descent angles over the amazing Isuzu UTE Iron Summit.
Extra action on the Arena will include displays from monster trucks, the Extreme 4x4 Show, ATVs and demonstrations, all of which can be viewed from the comfort of the XXXX Retreat.
With parking limited at the Showgrounds, organisers have arranged for a free travel option for online ticketholders, with a free train loop service running between Brisbane's Central, Roma Street, Fortitude Valley and Exhibition Grounds Stations across all three days.
Discounted parking has been arranged for those visitors who pre-book at the nearby Valley Metro and McWhirters Secure Car Parks, with a free shuttle bus looping from these car parks to the Showgrounds.
