Aust Marinas Guide launches Berths For Sale section

'Berths For Sale now available on the Australian Marinas Guide'    Fiona Harper

With over 300 marinas, safe harbours where conventional marinas don't exist, dry stack facilities and mooring facilities, the Australian Marinas Guide is the only definitive guide to Australian marinas. Celebrating its second birthday in August, The Guide continues to expand and evolve, positioning itself as the first port of call for boat owners seeking berthing information for their vessels.

The Australian Marinas Guide is squarely aimed at meeting the needs of boat owners, working with marina and boat club operators to ensure that boat owners are informed of all docking options. Encouraging boat owners to make the most of the facilities available to them, thereby driving boating traffic to marinas is part of the success of The Guide.

The Berths and Moorings For Sale or Lease section was developed to further support the needs of boat owners. Using interactive maps that are a feature of The Guide, Map Markers pinpoint the location of berths for sale or lease. Designed to allow individual berth or mooring owners as well as commercial entities to place a Map Marker, maps are divided into States for ease of use. Users can zoom right in to see the exact location of the berth as well as the surrounding waters. There is currently not one single source for this information, with berths for sale spread confusingly spread across real estate brokers and yacht brokers amongst others.

'We saw an opportunity to expand on our position as the definitive guide to Australian marinas, by adding this valuable tool to The Guide,' says Fiona Harper Editor of the Australian Marinas Guide. 'The Guide has become the first port of call for boaties looking to dock their boats, so this was a natural extension to the essential information we already provide,' she notes.

'We receive a lot of feedback from users of The Guide, who keep telling us that they want to know not only where all the marinas are, but which ones have berths for sale or long term lease. Some want to know how to secure a mooring in places like the Brisbane River, for example. Marina operators had also been telling us that they wanted to be able to get the word out to boaties that they had berths for sale,' Fiona explains.

The Australian Marinas Guide is totally independent and is not bound by any particular associations' constitution, meaning boat owners have access to every boat docking facility in Australia. While the Australian Marinas Guide works closely with marine industry associations, it's the boat owners who reap the benefits. By being independent, the Australian Marinas Guide is able to list every single marina, dry stack and mooring in Australia, unlike other marine directories that simply list their own members details.

Positioned as the definitive guide to Australian marinas, the Berths and Moorings For Sale or Lease looks set to open up even more opportunities for boat owners to utilise their vessels.
