|
Queensland’s Whitsunday Rent A Yacht (WRAY) one of Australia’s largest bareboat charter yacht operators, has been providing boating holidays in the Whitsundays for 28 years and its leading the way with another expansion program. WRAY Managing Director Glenn Read has announced multimillion dollar investments in the Whitsunday tourism industry, with four new boats joining the charter fleet in the next few months and more to follow soon after that. Read commented this morning ‘Overall the Bareboat charter industry has benefited both from the Australian Government stimulus package increasing the investment attractiveness of the industry at the same time as stay in Australian tourism numbers are increasing. 'WRAY has benefited because of its location in Schute Harbour, which provides fast access to the Whitsunday Islands, its experienced team and the constant upgrading of our fleet. ‘Due to demand, we are increasing our catamaran numbers with several vessel makes that have already proven to be very popular in our fleet. These include another Beneteau Lagoon 420, Perry 43 and two Seawind 1160s.' Being exhibited for the first time at the Sydney Boat Show will be the Beneteau Lagoon 380 which will be available for charter with WRAY in early September, with a second one arriving later in the year. This 38ft version of the Beneteau Lagoon will also be a first for WRAY along with a classy new first Highlander 35ft motor cruiser. At the Sydney International Boat Show you can visit their team on Stand 208/209 or view the Lagoon 380 in the marina.
