|
The International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition & Conference (IBEX) has unveiled details of its 2008 seminar series and will again offer educational opportunities to the international boat building and repair industries. According to IBEX show co-director and Professional Boatbuilder magazine publisher Carl Cramer: 'IBEX is where boat builders learn to make progress happen. 'The 2008 seminar line-up offers 53 in-depth sessions in ten professional tracks. Seminar topics range from Design &Compliance of Boat Fuel Systems to Advanced Wood-Composite Construction. 'All of today’s advanced boatbuilding technology is covered and presented by more than 100 industry professionals who lend their expertise and experience as IBEX speakers.' The IBEX 2008 technical seminar program is organized and produced by Professional Boatbuilder magazine, WoodenBoat magazine, ABBRA, and NMMA. 'No other marine event offers the wealth of information that is available in just three days at IBEX,' says Kathleen Clickett, IBEX show co-director and trade-events manager for NMMA. 'IBEX is the global marine industry’s standard for growth and education. Professional boat builders worldwide are encouraged to begin planning for each of their three days at the show as soon as possible to ensure their seat in the more popular sessions.'
In conjunction with the conference series, IBEX 2008 will host more than 700 exhibitors in four exhibit halls. IBEX also boasts three special pavilion areas, and a 10,000-square-foot outdoor demonstration area featuring industry professionals utilizing the newest products in real-world application situations. IBEX 2008 opens Monday 6 October til Wednesday 8 October at Miami Beach Convention Center, Miami Beach, Florida, USA. Launched in 1992 by Professional BoatBuilder magazine, IBEX is the only trade show in the world dedicated exclusively to the education and purchasing needs of professional boat builders, designers, repairers, surveyors, and boatyard and marina managers. Each year thousands of marine professionals attend to see and source the very latest products and technologies that will enable them build, repair, or restore a boat, better, faster, and for less cost.
